The simple part of Digital marketing we know is that Digital Marketing is a part of Marketing itself. We all know Digital Marketing is basically divided into two parts:
But in the case of Online Marketing or Digital marketing, it has itself redefined marketing strategies through the advent and involvement of technological tools and online media. Tools like Email marketing, Social media marketing, blogging and much more. It is quite easy to list down the advantages of Digital over Traditional and why the world is moving towards a Digital media for all businesses or operations. Traditional marketing has a slow rate of conversion of business into revenues and earnings whereas Digital has a faster approach to that. In Offline Marketing we do not have instant feedback's compared to that of Digital marketing that gives us a quick and structured response from customers and audiences. Return on investments is hard and messy to be calculated in terms of Offline Business but on the other side ROI are easily calculated and future plans, changes, and decisions can easily be made in growing of your businesses. You simply cannot target particular specific audiences in the case of Offline marketing but Digital marketing we can target any specific audiences on geographic, demographic preferences. Traditional is simply way more expensive than Digital, which is also more effective and efficient. Take an example that you are Setting a newspaper ad of Baby Products in Kolkata. You are planned to specifically target the audience of South Kolkata only. Here is the limitation in case of a newspaper ad. You just cannot particularly set the targeted audiences and the ad will be showcased over all of Kolkata or more, according to the audiences of the newspaper. But if you are to chose digital over traditional marketing you can easily target the particular geographic location, in this case, the South of Kolkata or anywhere you desire. This is one singular example of the advantages of digital marketing in this present world. Fact is 90 % of the top CEOs these days understand and recognize the benefits of digital marketing for their business development. But only 15 % have really implemented this tool in their businesses. There lies a whole future and era of all business powered by digital media. But till today we lack Human power, Knowledge and skills… Get ready for the new digital world and empower yourself to contribute to this Digital Revolution. Cause, Fun fact, There are Over Lakhs vacant Job in India today On digital marketing platform, still unfulfilled due to a clear lack of Knowledge and manpower. Earlier Digital marketing was quite easy using popular keywords but these days you can't entirely rely on that. There are various techniques that have come up. Giving a brief of 5 such techniques:
There is a hoax that Emails are Dead these days but that is not quite the case. Companies and Customers still use Emails as the ultimate official way of communications. Thus having your ADs or banners in an Email can easily target the real-time business organizations and customers. Paid Ads is another must and powerful tool used in Digital marketing plus the good thing it does not costs much. Spend a little money and you can have mass audiences in on go. Using Google Ad words or Bing Ads is one form of Advertising. Using popular keywords to attract more traffic is the main goal, thus a lot of big companies and players in the markets have already bought up such popular keywords. Using Google Analytics gives us a detailed insight into keywords most popularly used by the audiences and such words being used in you Ads, contents or Blogs brings in more audiences and views. Such other tools are Facebook Ads and the plus point about it is you can be super specific about the audience you want to target based on your preferences and you can make the most of your advertising spent. Talking about social media, your social media profiles are a powerful tool for Digital Marketing. Using less and specified number of a social platform with attractive contents gains the attention of a mass number of people which you can divert it to your gain in business and its growth. Not forgetting about Video content whether it is your own or a curated video of other people and having those links on your social platform really elevates your audience. Another form of Digital marketing favorable to small business and entrepreneurs is Content marketing. It is basically using your original content or curated content to draw audiences to your website. It is actually giving something of their value to come to your website and maybe let them give in their email addresses or other information and thus you gain audiences through content marketing. You also use curated content, blogs of other people to attract the audience but make sure to have a tribute to the original creators and the permission to post their content. Blogging is really another important form of Digital Marketing specifically for entrepreneurs and creative professionals. It is one tool that really helps you and your work go up on Digital platforms. How? Whether it be blogging on a blogging platform or on your own website, the real fact is people don't read long contents these days (like mine) and with the entry of mobile devices, long contents are just so boring. Thus having a blog section or a blogging platform is beneficial because makes your homepage clean and specific. Thus you can attract people who are into reading to your blog section and you can enrich the section using keywords, contents, and links. Thus getting audience who are really into content reading or writing. Covering up some small basic and simple headlines of Digital Marketing here. Just enrich and adapt yourself to this upcoming Digital transformation for a better future. Input Nishant Thapa

What is "OKAY GOOGLE?
It is Voice search is a speech recognition technology that allows users to search by saying terms aloud rather than typing them into a search field. The proliferation of smartphones and other small, Web-enabled mobile devices has spurred interest in voice search. Applications of voice search include: Making search engine queries. Clarifying specifics of the request. Requesting specific information, such as a stock quote or sports score. Launching programs and selecting options. Searching for content in audio or video files. Voice dialing. There are many services as such from the likes of Googles Assistant embedded into every android phone (Okay Google) to that of Apple’s SIRI. Even Amazon has jumped on the bandwagon with the introduction of Alexa, a smart home assistant activated by voice search. How Speech OKAY GOOGLE Works? To convert speech to on-screen text or a computer command, a computer has to go through several complex steps. When you speak, you create vibrations in the air. The analog-to-digital converter (ADC) translates this analog wave into digital data that the computer can understand. To do this, it samples or digitizes, the sound by taking precise measurements of the wave at frequent intervals. The system filters the digitized sound to remove unwanted noise, and sometimes to separate it into different bands of frequency (frequency is the wavelength of the sound waves, heard by humans as differences in pitch). It also normalizes the sound or adjusts it to a constant volume level. It may also have to be temporally aligned. People don't always speak at the same speed, so the sound must be adjusted to match the speed of the template sound samples already stored in the system's memory. Next, the signal is divided into small segments as short as a few hundredths of a second, or even thousandths in the case of plosive consonant sounds -- consonant stops produced by obstructing airflow in the vocal track -- like "p" or "t." The program then matches these segments to known phonemes in the appropriate language. A phoneme is the smallest element of a language -- a representation of the sounds we make and put together to form meaningful expressions. There are roughly 40 phonemes in the English language (different linguists have different opinions on the exact number), while other languages have more or fewer phonemes.

However, there is a distinct difference between the two words
Data is raw, unanalyzed, unorganised, unrelated, uninterrupted material which is used to derive information, after analyzation On the other hand, Information is perceivable, interpreted as a message in a particular manner, which provides meaning to data. Data is the collection of raw facts and figures. It is without any proper meaning. Data may be collection of words, numbers, graphics or sounds. Examples of Data Student Data on Admission Forms When students get admission in a college. They fill admission form. This form contains raw facts (data of student) like name, father’s name, address of student etc. INFORMATION Processed data is called information. When raw facts and figures are processed and arranged in some order then they become information. Information has proper meanings. Information is useful in decision-making. Actually we process data to convert it into information. Examples of Information Merit List After collecting admission forms from candidates, merit is calculated on the basis of obtained marks of each candidate. Normally, percentage of marks obtained is calculated for each candidate. Now all the candidates names are arranged in descending order by percentage. This makes a merit list. Merit list is used to decide whether a candidate will get admission in the college or not. Some computers may still have these, but back in the older day, the A: and B: drive were reserved for use as Floppy Disk Drives. The reason you might not have heard of these drives is because all big computer fabricators generally stopped including them on personal computers in 2003.
It was common to have two drives, hence why A & B are reserved. This is because of drive incompatibility, there wasn’t a set standard at the time and so you had to be prepared to read media that was formatted differently. It's not that computers don't have B drives. Initially, (hardly two decades ago), personal computers didn't have hard discs they were equipped with two floppy drives called drives A and B. Later, a hard disk was introduced and was labelled as the C drive. Other drives like the CD drive, DVD drive, flash drive and others were labelled D, E, etc. If you have a computer having two floppy drives, then they are called A drive and B drive. As we know that 1MB=1024 KB but the manufacturer considers 1 Megabyte to be 1000 Kilobytes, 1 Gigabyte to be 1000 Megabytes, 1 Terabyte to be 1000 Gigabytes and so on. This is correct considering that kilo means 1000 and mega means 1000000 (10^6). However, computers calculate on base 2 and to them, 1 MB is actually 1024 kilobytes, 1GB is 1024MB and 1 TB is 1024GB. This difference in the method of computation is responsible for this "missing space."
Lets take an example of a 500 GB hard disk. From a manufacturer's point of view, the 500GB will have 500*1000*1000*1000 = 500000000000 bytes. From a computer's point of view, 500GB is actually 500*1024*1024*1024 = 536870912000 bytes. So, a hard drive that promises to have 500 GB storage space will actually display 465.66GB, 536870912000-500000000000 = 36870912000 bytes (34.34GB) less storage space when connected to a you computer I still cannot forget my first day in SUMI KALIMPONG in the year 2006 ,When I had first join SUMI KALIMPONG after completing my previous School J.N.MEMORIAL which has only 100 student in total .It was high time for me I was new in school and was hurry to make a friends ,seeing the student in the morning assembly I was quite nervous because I have never seen such large student in school ,as usual morning assembly is conducted by the respective teacher with a prayer .Well !! Prayer come to an end we all set to listen wonderful words from our principal of SUMI KALIMPONG. We enjoy his speech in and particularly me when he speak in Nepali he announced in Nepali that “Tape Ghari Ghari rewind hudaina ;Yo chai A.I.R F.M .All India Radio FM Ho Ek Palta Matri Bhajsha Dhan Dyara Sun!”It is truly a pleasure for all of us to have a Principal with Great Personality and undoubtedly a great human. As I made lot of friend in S.U.M.I .While writing about S.U.M.I must mention the three things that only S.U.M.I had i.e. MISS GAURI and FOOTBALL TEAM and Band of Sumi. Gone those days when we used to chat with friends from morning till evening, sudden crash on boys likely to support the near ones, those interesting lecture of Principal, friendly attitude of teacher, Punished on being late to school two drops of tears with Shock of GAURI on bunking of classes those sleepy afternoon forced to close the eyelids longing for 40 minutes, the rumor spared by the Prefect of surprise checking in class,Fear of Gauri ,Copying Homework. S.U.M.I is famous for football in the country as well as the neighboring country of India. It’s a fact that the people of kalimpong are always eagerly waiting for the 15th August INDEPENDENCE DAY because they don’t want to miss the football match of S.U.M.I .Principal Nava Sir Speech the day before 15th August “Her Kata ho INDEPENDENCE DAY CUP Malai Chiyo tyo cup S.U.M.I ko Ho S.U.M.I Mai Ahunuparsha” I miss the unforgettable “Cheer up” in the rains being fully loved by the spectators singing “WHEN SUMI BOYS GOES MARCHNG ON THERE WII BE A NEW TOMMOROW “ and “MATHI BHATA GARI AYO GOLAI PACHI HORON SUMI LAI CHALAIS BHANA BHACHI DINCHU KARAN” and “HERA GHIJA BHITA MA LARDAI PARDAI KHALDAICHA PHAKATA K RAMRO KALO RA SATO CHA” Indeed We got a chance to meet the Captain of Indian Football Team SUNILCHETTRI and Renady Singh who has visited our School. There are lot of other memories such as tracking at Reshi,Camping at Kaffer which I cannot share in a blogsWith a blink of eyes I reach class X and we had a lots of pressure because we were appearing our Madhymik Exam in 2015 and in 2015 S.U.M.I is going to celebrate its 125th celebration .Principal already warn us that he wanted 100% result.we had a tuff time though the Agitation of Gorkhaland is going on Couple of bands in hill ,had to travel 5 km daily for tuition still the result was best . Last i would like to say that “There is no other school like S.U.M.I”and also there will be no any other school like S.U.M.I because When SUM march there will be a new tomorrow like a sun which brings a new day with new ray of hope ,which shines all over the world. I still vividly remember my first day at ATTC BARDANG .At first I was so excited about meeting new people .College felt like a liberation for me since I got a chance to stay away from home. It was my first time away from home. It was a bit difficult at first to be with the people that I never knew .I didn’t know how to act at first just to fit in. But everything went smooth. At first I found the subjects quite difficult, but the faculties were so good that they were ready to help us in each and every subject .They also provided us with extra classes to clear our doubts about the subject which we found difficult. They were our strength whenever we were weak. They were our voice whenever we lacked words to speak. They were ours eyes whenever our vision blurred. They were always there to lift up our spirit and to never let us fall. They saw the best in us .They gave us the faith because they believed in us. They were the ones who always stood beside us and guided us in every stage of our life. We were grateful for each auspicious moment that all the faculty members gave us. Apart from the college the ATTC BARDANG hostel was like a home to me. I hardly missed my own home, when I was in ATTC BARDANG hostel. The environment in the hostel was healthy that taught me how to adjust myself with new people. One night study before the internal and semester with one book in a room with my duffer friends, copying files from friends file, watching movie, playing games till suns goes up, talking on the phones ,running one room to another in search for food ,charger ,notes and movies were most auspicious part of hostel life. The hostel life is like a stolen piece of eternity that will forever be etched in my heart as long as it beats. Apart from studies, the extracurricular activities like, Sport Week, Industrial Visit, Village Camp etc helped me get out of regular hectic schedule. Amongst them I can’t forget the village camp and industrial visit which helped me to conduct myself. It was a lifelong experience which helped me realize that I could control my own destiny .The other events like Annual day, Teacher’s day, Hostel Annual Night gave me the opportunity to display my talent. “Time and tide waits for none”. Three years passed with a blink of an eye as I completed my Diploma in Computer Engineering. Though I got many chance to sit for the interviews with many reputed companies but as I was interested in pursuing higher studied (B Tech) so I didn’t sit for any of them. After that I started preparing myself for JELET Examination (Joint Entrance Lateral Entrance Test). As a result I got 457 branch ranks out of 8208 students that appeared for the test. I realized the value of ATTC BARDANG after I completed my Diploma whenever I had nostalgic feelings of the moments spent in ATTC BARDANG. I realized how ATTC brought a drastic change in my life. In the past before I joined ATTC I had little technical knowledge and little did I know of what was happening in the world. I had no vision nor did I had any goals set in life. ATTC showed me dreams and a way to achieve those dreams. At present I am pursuing BTECH from Surendra Institute of Engineering and Management under the West Bengal University of Technology (W.B.U.T) .At SIEM I met many Diploma holders from the different parts of the Country and I feel that I am better equipped to compete with them. Thank you to all the teachers and staffs of ATTC Bardang. We are lucky to have been gifted with such faculty who enlightened us with their wisdom and help us set goals in our life. We are everything because of you. The most amazing days of our life when there was no responsibility of real world but a huge tension of completing homework in a given period of time. The days when teachers and principal were considered as greatest enemies of our life. We used to fight for silly things with our friends. Our fights were either for the lunch or for stationary items like
pencil or sharpener. But such disputes hardly remain for long time and then we again used to become good friends. In those days we hated our School as it was responsible for our busy life. Today when we pass through our school, we keep watching it and start recalling all the fun that we did in those days. Missing the Dark Room,Durga Sir ko Hanuman Chutai,Tikaram Sir ko Pencil la hath chapai ,Yesh Ghatana Baw,Bura,Buri Game etc.Wish I can live that day again |
